where are the bear?

got drawn for the kapowsin hunt and have been up there every day. I've been everywhere up there from the high country to as low as you can go and have not seen chit I used to hunt up by seiku and had great success but this year sucks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any suggestions

seen 3 in there,and lilbuff got one..find the food and cover

food. if your not seeing things for them to eat you wont find um. keep at it. i hunted about 17-18 days and was up souting every other day about since i drew the permit. not to mention the fact that I'm just plain up there all year anyway. persistence will pay off. when you've got that feeling like you just don't want to go hike up that hill one more time or wade through all that devils club and brush anymore, that's when you go harder. the more it hurts the better it feels when you connect. thought maybe you could use a little pep talk. i know i needed one. thanks again Jim

Aren't most bears eating the cambium and grasses right now? Everyone I've talked to says stick to the drainages. I've been out looking a lot too. I don't have a spring tag, but I'd like to take some photos.

I know what you mean.  I to have been hitting it as hard as i can . And i see a lot of elk and deer , but no bears yet .
but i cant walk to fare seeing  that I'm still in a walking cast . but ill be damed  if thats going to stop me. I have
been hunting for the most in the morning. going to try some evening hunting this week.
