muleyhunter and bobcat sorry but no.  Here is a hint:  This bird is not native to this country.  Most birds shot by hunters in this country, which are very few, are either pen raised escapees, or an occasional wild bird that has lost his way in a migration.  hope that helps.  John

Ok Muleyhunter, it's a Dabbling/Puddle duck.  And to make it really easy on you this duck has sub-species that are common to our area. :) ;)  John

Good Job Muleyhunter you got it, it is a Baikal Teal.  Your very good at interpreting words. :chuckle: :chuckle:  What a gorgeous bird they are.  It makes you not want to shoot them if you ever get a chance........NOT. :)  Hopefully one of these days I will get my hands on a Mandarin, those are gorgeous birds as well.

I will post some pic's when I get him on a base and he is finished drying.

Michelle, you and your Coots!!!!!!  Don't you even think of sending me one of those! >:(   Talk with you all soon.  John

To those that don't know what a Baikal teal looks like here is a picture of one. I'm sure everyone knows what one looks like it's just giving me a excuse to post a picture of this beautiful bird  :) :) :)
