horseshoe lake mountain goat!!

I could'nt believe my eyes I was fishing there last weekend and next to the waterfall there was a goat laying on the rocks and was there all afternoon watching us troll around. This lake is just north of spokane. My kids have never seen a mountain goat in the wild before and were very excited. IT sure doesnt look like goat country but I guess you never know.

Cool, I Love Horseshoe lake never saw a goat there, how was the fishing ?   saw a goat last fall on the snake south west of lyons ferry I had the same reaction, what the heck his he doing there??

Loaderboy, where in the heck is horse shoe Lake??  I have never heard of it and live just North of you.  That is way cool to see the Goat with your kids with you.  John

It's just a few mile north of Eloika lake.

fishing was ok for the silvers we caught 7 but if you just wanted to catch rainbows you could catch them one after another. I would love to get a pic of the goat but he was 200 yds away and I just had my little camera. I went yesterday too and the goat was on the same rocks this time I had the binos and got a better look.

I guess I will take a pic next time so you can try to see the little white dot in the middle of the picture as far as the fish I didnt think pics of 8 inch silvers was going to thrill anybody.

Goats sort of migrate. Not too unual to see them in such places. When I was scouting for goats up on Chinook Pass, I would occasionally see them well away from cragy places. I saw a goat on a road over by Brinnon, Wa one day. It was almost at sea level.
