Bone why do you have to depress me. I am going to my spot tomorrow and I am afraid of finding the same thing. That is a horrible thing to see and from what I here if we have a cold rainy spring those deer that are still alive will not have a prayer.

Bone, please tell me that isn't near my neck of the woods!  I havent talked with my buddy over there in a couple of weeks so I don't know if he has run across the same thing.  I know that the deer started pushing his horses and cows off of their hay a couple of months ago.  He started placing alfalfa on the other side of the fence to keep the deer away from the livestock.  The last time that I was chatting with him he was feeding close to 60 deer at his place and 30-40 over at mine.  I noticed when I was over there in October that there were a lot of really small (late) fawns.  This kind of weather is tough for those little boogers to survive.  I sure hope that it dosent turn out like the winter of 96-97, but it starting to look that way.  Damn, just when the herds were doing great.  :(

Yep, your neck of the woods.  You are sharing it with lone wolf too.  That ought to excite you.  Damn big coyotes anyway. ;)  I guess the wolves have been there for a bit, but this guy was further out than normal.  Probably a young male that was kicked out.

Damn, damn, damn!  I bet that is the same wolf that was running around my treestand area.  My buddy shot a cougar over there last month just up behind his place.  Crap!  Now I want to head over there and check out the situation.  I'll have to give my buddy a call at lunch time and see what is going on.
