49 DN Bear Down

Spent a couple days hunting the east side of the unit and finally found a couple bears.  I got this pretty cinnamon about 5:00 in the evening.  She was eating grass along an abandoned road and one shot at 50 feet put her right down.

Congrats! How far did you have to pack it? In behind a closed gate? Have a buddy to help pack it out? What caliber?  Going to have a rug made? Save the skull? Going to make sausage, or stew meat? Need more info!  :chuckle:
