No not all private timber co. are using hounds and in reality there are not a lot of bears killed on those hunts they are trying to target just the bear that are doing the damage.

I agree that they are trying to target specific bears in some instances and I agree that there may not be large numbers killed on individual parcels, but over all in total, there are quite a few killed every year.

OK, all I know is that Weyerhaeuser is issued depredation permits in which they are allowed to use hound hunters to kill bears. I assumed the other companies were doing the same.

The urban people of King, Pierce and Snohomish county deserve EVERY problem with carnivores and furbearers they receive.  Same for the folks between the Icicle and Wenatchee Rivers, and everywhere else the residents remove the tools of trapping and shooting from the animal damage management toolbox.  They voted it in, F*** em.  Too bad for the minority of sensible folks opposed to this PC BS who live there.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Leave the bears in the cities. Those MF. crybabies wanted them... Their problem not ours an lets quit wasting money trying to capture them.   :twocents:  Tired of this states an all the little crybabies. GOOOOOO BEARS EAT 'EM THEM MF.'S UP.........
