hey hows it going everyone,

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and say that I am new to this site. I will also be new to the state of washington.  I am a pretty big shooter and I have been hunting since a young age. I have hunted everything but your cougars , bear , moose, elk, and ram. correct me if i am wrong but i think it is ram. I am very impressed with the variety of game you have in your area. Hopefully i will be able to get some incite on public areas to hunt so my transition will be easier. I am not asking for private permission or your favorite spots. Just a friendly heads up. Also what is the average shot range in WA? Lets say near renton? What size yotes do you have. I am use to the eastern yotes. How easy are they to call in out there (if its ever easy right?) :P  out there. Any other tips you guys use out there that I may not be used too? Thank you for reading.

If your used to hunting coyotes out east you'll feel fairly at home here on the wet side.  The east side of the state is open mountian forest, grass prairie and desert sage.  You'll have to drive aways from Renton, pretty much city from Everett to Olympia and from the sound to the bass of the Cascades.  First thing is get a Washington Atlas and Gazzateer it list alot of public hunting areas and shows you how to get into the.  Next is BLM maps of the areas you like they are more detail on public lands.

Welcome to WA.

I went on the site for Hunt now. color poped up and the map but there was no key to identify what the colors were.  :bash:  How is it hunting yotes out there? I have heard that its all green and full of brush out that way. anybody bait or trap with snares?

Trapping with foothold, snares and body traps are illegal unless doing ADC work on private land and then you need a permit from the state.

Most everything is not illegal in Washington, you may get discouraged quickly. :bash: I heard next year you have to buy a fart endorsment with your hunting lisense.
