I would guess, the closer to dusk or early morning, the better.

the evenings can be different every night sometimes i have them come in before its hardly getting dim and sometimes im sitting out there tel after 10:30 before they start howling, if i can wake up early enough i try to go in the morning, one other thing i start doing is try to find dens i know are being used and trying challenge barks or a pup in distress call, those moms will come running in pissed off

in a couple months maybe less there will be some real curious pups out of the den. they come in pretty easy.

so them dogs dont have a usual set schedual that they do day in and day out then.. hmm would squaling technique still work or is the pup in distress the ticket for this time of the year?

they are pretty active right now with pups to feed, so you could bump into them at any time. but generaly dawn and dusk are best.

yeah it depends this time of year if you are hunting for males or females also, both probly have a different schedule, nice cold cloudy days are probly the best alot of times i will catch males out around 9 - 11 in the morning coming out for a snack, sometimes i will also just drive lots of areas stop and glass an area occasionally if i see one ill get out and go set up on it

Yes and no. There are a lit of yotes out there the problem is a lot of them have been shot at and missed. best thing I can tell you is to get away from the roads and call. Start quite and work up louder, they can be sneaky as he'll out there so be ready for anything and stay dead still. I got ran over by one out there last nov but he got a 40gr vmax
