I think the Department of Revenue would disagree. Whether they find out about it or not is a different story. If your calling yourself a "guide", that implies you are a business owner by definition, taking money for it is the other requirement. It's really about taxation, as some are aware, under the table cash is never a good idea if you are claiming to run a business, it just doesn't work that way, if it did a whole lot more people would be working for themselves.
