Questions for a taxidermist
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:30:31 PM »
Hey all,

I have some deer antlers that were off of my Grandpas last deer before he died. I dont have the tag for it, as it was lost whenever...

The question is this, how do I get old antlers mounted, without a tag?

Thanks~

I have had 3 discusions with wardens this year about that very thing. How old is the kill? Obviousely you have photograpks to prove it had a tag at one time. If it is a more rescent kill like in the 2000's call fish and game and see if they can look it up. If it is before then , all and any info you have about your Grandpa, when and where it was killed . And also your info is what a Taxi would need. I would have you write it all out on a piece of paper then have you sign and date it. And then enter it into the books and put that signed paper with it.
