morel recipes
« on: May 24, 2010, 08:42:17 PM »
anyone have some good recipes on how to cook morels besides dipping them in eggwash and flour/breadcrumb/cereal/cracker mixture and frying them in butter.  I looked around on the internet and couldnt find any other recipes on different ways to cook/bbq them.  Thanks for the input!

When I was a kid my dad would put them in scrambled eggs.  I thought they were good.

Sauteed with real butter and fresh crushed garlic over the top of a rare steak is the only way I eat them. :EAT:

Morels are like bacon.  They make everything taste better.  I wonder how morels with bacon would taste?

Had a big dinner of them 2 days ago, flour, season salt, and deep fried. But I think I like them a little better just sliced and fried in butter.

Try those bad boys on the grill with halibut fillet, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, butter dash of fresh lemon cook on foil do not "wrap" it. Cook on medium coals, baste with juices as it cooks to desired doneness. Awsome!

If you do a search for Morel on here you might find some recipes.
