I found this along my driveway a couple weeks ago and have been waiting to see what it is and so far it has not changed except it may be a tiny bit taller from when I first spotted it, anyone know what it is ??  :dunno:

Not a fungi!  A plant without chlorophyl.  They are parasitic/saprophytic meaning they get their energy from other plants alive or dead.  Some orchids fit this bill as do Indian Pipes (often white, lookes like a pipe).  Here is one that is close...  These are parasitic on fungi but are plants.

http://www.botany.org/parasitic_plants/Sarcodes_sanguinea.php  Just started looking though.

Hope this helps.
