She is hooked
« on: May 27, 2010, 05:12:38 PM »
So I took my niece turkey hunting  and she had a blast. She loved it. We did not get a bird but I think the pictures speak for themselves. Look at that smile.

Not even a 12" beard could compete with that smile.  That was a successful hunt in my book!    Nice Job!

Hey Rasbo, Towards the end of the day she wanted to do her part cause I was doing everything, So I let her carry my pack for awhile. I was impressed she wanted to. And she will stay with it. I will make sure of that.

Good job !!!  Just curious where did you guys go (eastside or wetside) ... get any gobbles or see birds?   Don't think you could find anything that would come close to erasing that smile ...     :chuckle:

Always good to be out no matter what, better when you can see and/or hear birds, best when you can seal the deal ... great when you introducing a youngster ... I'm taking a friend and his 8 year old out early fall for her 1st turkey hunt. Last year I had 2 tagged and in the truck within 1/2 hour when a very large group flew out of the trees and came 80 yards straight in to within 20 yards.  There was enough for all of us to fill our tags ....

Good job Ross, Nice to have someone to help carry the load. Looks like you have a new hunting buddy. Hope you have the cash to mount her first bird...
