That should be a good hunt.

Bone,
Any story behind that big buck in the Pickup?  I notice he's not cut into itty-bitty pieces, and the Ruby's are pretty remote.  Private land buck maybe...? :dunno:

Most of the deer are out of the Ruby's by this late hunt.  At least we hope.  The guy is from california, and it must have been year before last becasue according to the harvest reports, no bucks were harvested in last years hunt.   (second hand)

If you can get your hands on EBJ issue 57 (Jan/Feb 2010), there is a good article about a father son hunt that took place in the Ruby Mountains, they both got nice bucks.  Just FYI

What's the latest on your NV preparation, scouting reports etc? Is your wife still gonna let you go?

Missed this thread Bone, but I can tell you you will have a great hunt.  I lived in Round Mountain Nevada for 3 years and man I saw a Lot of huge mullies.  Never got to hunt the area, was always busy in the fall.  But I spent a lot of time in the mountains of central Nevada. Put in the effort as I know you will and you should have a great time.

I feel like the mountain boned me out.   Couldn't find the one worth notching the tag for here.

I haven't hardly looked at Nevada.  Believe it or not I am not that stoked.  I SHOULD be, but with kids sports and everything and I am normally doing photography.  I haven't gotten my tag in the mail and I should have by now.  I need to follow through with that the first of this week.
