Those are damn cool birds.  Maybe Bone you could the first to take one with that Sapphire and a flu-flu!  Might wanna pack a flu-flu just in case.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Mind if I ask how many points you had Bone? I've been banking points in NV and setting on 7 for everything. Just trying to decide what to use them on.

Congrats Bone!  Can't wait to hear what your experience is over there.  Wasn't there an article in Eastmans a few months ago about a father and son that shot a couple of pigs in the Ruby's?  Sounds like a helluva hunt...

I think it was in the bowhunters journal about 5 months ago. Nice bucks too.

I think I had 4 points.  Maybe 5.  I figured I was just coming into the running, especially for a bow hunt.   COOL, I was just about to dig into past issues.  NOW I really will.

Now that Washington has finally *censored* around, this hunt is looking BETTER and BETTER.   OTC Idaho is looking good too.

I still think you've got the coolest tag on here Bone.....maybe Jackelope's comes pretty close, but your tag includes an adventure with it!
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

I think he drew some higher country Littledave.  Up in the Ruby's I believe.

High country in the background.  Picture was a few minutes before 3, so were a little east of Elko on I-80.  We crossed the range on route 229.  Stopped on the grade to change and feed the kid.  I didn't take a picture from that point, but I remember it pretty good.  Should be a fun hunt.  We turned off the state route to Ruby Valley Road, probably a bit too rough for the wife's car.

No, Rubies in NV.  Eastman's Bowhunting Journal#57, Jan/Feb 2010, Page 16.
