Finished a new AR build
« on: May 30, 2010, 03:57:35 PM »
Quantico Tactical has got an awesome sale going, so I ran up to Tacoma to pick up the last of my stuff.
I've got about a 1- 1/2 months into this gathering parts and finished her up yesterday.
Heres a run-down

Tactical Solutions billet lower
FN upper
White Oak 18" barrel
Rock River bolt/carrier
Rock River 2 stage trigger
Troy handguard
KNS anti-walk pins
Magpul UBR stock
Magpul grip
GGG push pin swivels
Knights foregrip
Surefire light
Vtac sling
Arms mount
TA31 ECOS, doctor optic red dot
 I think thats it......
I didn't think I would get to shoot it for a while, But I decided to head out today.  ;)

I don't think an AR is a great home defense gun, but it would work in  a pinch.. :chuckle:
I'll use it for yotes, but the main purpose is for 3-gun matches.

yeah i thought maybe 3 gun because no scope on it and the way it is rigged up. i have been playing with getting into 3 gun but i have to many dam hobbys and not enough time :bash: ar-15 is one of my home guns because i do not have to worry about doing sweeps in the house anyone that wants to walk up the stairs were the bedrooms are with the alarm going off can find out how good they work for home defense  but it is only one of many kinda depends on what day of the week it is :chuckle:

Seems to shoot pretty good, but I was a little more concerned with barrel break in, got 30 rounds thru it with 100% reliability.  :)
