Checking in from Arizona
« on: April 28, 2010, 01:02:14 PM »

Wasn't lucky enough to harvest a spring bear this year but had a great time glassing and calling.  If any of you all are looking for big color-phased bears Arizona has them and the tags are over-the-counter for most units.

Had this big boar coming to the call from across a canyon before the wind shifted and I lost him in a oak flat.  I took this quick picture through my binoculars before he dissapeared under the canopy.

I saw a huge cinnamon boar a few years back in Unit 3C.

Arizona sure is a lot of fun!

Good Deal...  You should have a blast...  I'll be down the road in 7W.  If you get bored or tag out quick stop by for a beer... we will have a big camp just off the I-40. will be there the entire hunt.

Good to see some cool country.  After chasing Javes down there I came to the conclusion that there wasn't anything in that desert that wasn't pokey.

Looks like it would be a good spot to hunt.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
