Best Place to buy Decoys
« on: June 03, 2010, 06:27:24 PM »
I was wondering what store or website has the lowest prices for duck decoys? I am looking to get maybe half a dozen shell mallards that stand up so I can put them on the shore and things like that.

ghg has the worst customer service and questionable quality. I have $250 snow goose decoys that cracked first day in the field. Fullbody field type. Never could get any help from greenhead gear on it.

Talk to Paul or Denise at Aero Outdoors for floaters and full bodies. They might cost a lil more but they are well worth it!!!

It's really frustrating I tried to call them and email them like a dozen times back in Dec-Jan. I picked up a couple boxes of the snow goose full bodies at sportsmans up in bellingham. sportsmans swapped out a couple of my broken ones for good ones the first time, but after that it got hard for me to swap them out because thats 2 hours away and I'm only up there on occasion hunting.

its always nice to be able to buy from a local too. They are in Pasco I think?

GHG can pump out a mass produced CHINA molded duck just like anyone else, with flakey paint, just like anyone else. Ask them to make a quality product and they fail. ask them to back up their product and they fail. Why support such mediocrity?

Aero's are expensive, but I'll be honest... you'll kill more ducks with 12 nice decoys and a couple motion decoys, then 100 mediocre decoys without  motion. I've seen the Aeros, they are nice.

on Craiglist, just open your search up. I just search "duck" and "goose" or "geese".

if you really just want cheapo stuff just watch CL and eBay. I've picked up litterally hundreds of decoys on craigslist over the years for less than $1 ea.
