Early goose questions
« on: June 05, 2010, 07:54:13 AM »
I am hunting over near Walla Walla however the weekend I am going may be early goose  :bash: :bash: and my son will have a cow if he misses an opportunity to hunt waterfowl.  On the off chance I have planned this whole thing poorly is there any area over that way to look into for waterfowl?  I really do not know what is over there for ducks and geese because I actually dont really care...lol...I do not hunt them but my kid lives for hunting birds.....PM's or here not wanting honey holes just to know if I might be able to find a spot for him to hunt....

yes, but last year the eastside was closed to early goose...so check the regs closely.

study wdfw site for public hunting land in the area.

if he can understand the fish regs, then he's well on his way to a law degree  :twocents:

I would wait until the regs come out as mentioned to verify the east side is going to have an early goose as is was cancelled last year due to low numbers of resident breeding pairs.  The west side down towards the mouth of the Columbia River usually opens around the 1st of Sept. with the rest of the west side opening around the Sept. 8th or there in the ball park.  Good luck.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
