Craigslist ad...
« on: June 03, 2010, 09:59:16 PM »
Why would someone be selling a brand new never shot bow?  Good price if you can register it for the warranty.

I saw the same add, I thought it seemed a little fishy.

Just looked.  Same ad is on the Portland CL.

I don't see anything fishy :dunno: Face to face transaction, don't like it don't have to buy it.

 :iamwithstupid:

maybe the guy bought a bow, can't afford it and needs to sell it. I've got an unfired rifle in my safe that is 2 years old.

My guess is he got his girlfriend knocked up right after he purchased the bow.

What ever the reason it's a decent price.

There is another guy selling a brand new Hoyt Turbohawk with accessories.  His ad makes it sound like he needs the money.

I like to browse CL once in awhile to see what people are selling.  I do notice that most used bows on there are way over priced.

There was an add on CL down here in portland for a brand new never shot Carbon matrix a couple weeks ago, no asking price just make offer....seemed a little strange to me.....

Dont know how the bow tournies work, but a lot of the bass tournies, you win stuff that you will never use. And you sell them off. Just a thought.

sweepstakes or prize was my initial thought....

Or nocked up the mrs.

or bought it and lost job shortly there after

or bought it and subscribed to the Dave Ramsey way of life and is paying off debt.

Lots of reasons, and you will only find out if you ask the question.

I'm thinking I might know the story on this bow.  If it is, the guy guided a turkey hunter, and for a tip was given a Destroyer.  He had just recently just bought a bow and was wanting to sell the gift bow.

Yes!  Actually I think I'm going to make a call to find out if that guy is still selling the gift bow.  Just a quick question as I don't know much about Bowtech-- I believe the  Destroyer was their top of the line bow, and if so, what year?
