Salmon River
« on: June 08, 2010, 04:05:15 AM »
Made it down to the Salmon river last week, fishing started out great, couldnt keep the fish off, first evening hooked 9 and limited out on 3 adults.

Next morning same action, hooked 7, kept 1 that morning as I wanted to keep fishing that day and it would be easy to limit out  :chuckle: Thats when the little salmon blew out, hit flood stage and the salmon river went from 22,000 cfs to 90,000 cfs in hours! Did manage to catch one more on the upside of the mouth of the little salmon before the salmon river went brown. heres the mouth of the little salmon in the am of the 3rd day, fishing was done to say the least.

Nice catch!  I have trout fished there some with JohnnyTDF, but never have been able to sneak away during the run.  Way to go!
