I though it would be cool to have the ewe mounted so that way when I draw the ram tag in 2075 I can have them mounted together.  :chuckle: Maybe one of you guys will be able to help me get my wheel chair up the mountain when I draw the ram tag.

Like bobcat said - I applied for points, because the hunt choices were very limited.

I didn't even apply for the point.

Sheep meat is pretty good. Plus I wouldn't mind maybe getting it mounted with my ram. Just went for the point right now until they give out some tags closer to home. I think they gave out some tags in the Yakima Canyon last year but they pulled them this year.

You made me look. There were 5 permits for Selah Butte last year. I'm guessing they eliminated them this year due to the pneumonia outbreak in the sheep over there.

I accidently purchased the permit. So I donanted $6.50 to the game department. If I draw it I don't what I will do. It is a long drive to go get one. So we will just wait and see what happens and then make up my mind on what to do.

The main reasons I put in for the ewe tag is one its just another way to get out in the woods this year. Two Definitely the meat, and three a ewe mount would look pretty good next to a ram mount some day.

Well, you haven't actually paid for the tag yet. So if you do draw it you could just not pay for it and let it go to the alternate.

MtnMuley,  did you apply for it?

No.  I think that, the spring bear, and the fall turkey were the only ones I opted out on.

I put in...don't matter what it is....if it's legal i'm gonna hunt for it (period) end of story.  For me its the journey, not the destination.
