Pike again
« on: June 06, 2010, 01:49:19 PM »
Ok, so no luck last time I went out so I'm going again!  Heading out again tomorrow to the PO river for another shot at some pike.  Any tips and/or suggestions?

Well, hooked into a dozen or more today.  Boated two a piece, biggest was 29".  Not bad for our first successful trip, I was happy with it. Launched out of Cusick, and I will be back to fish again!

Fishing the weed beds in the coves??? I've tried it with no luck. I headed the Newport direction.

Headed out again for the day today, the 11th.  Weed beds in the coves, may head down towards newport.  I have pictures, however I have somehow lost the cord for my camera.  So until I find that, the pictures are useless.

May take you up on that later this summer.  My fishing buddy is always working out of town so there are times when I'm on my own.  Caught a couple decent large mouth today and a pike.  Slow fishing until late in the day.
