Lincoln confusion.

Bear activity report‏

There has been a lot of recent and older bear damage in legal 28&29-15N-5W.  It has been reported on the C-7600, C-7620 and general vicinity.  Look in recently pre-commercially thinned plantations and non-thinned plantations.  The bear(s) have even climbed the trees to girdle them.

What confuses me is according to the map, TS 28 and 29 are 9000 series roads, while 7600, and 7620, are outside permit area, is there something wrong with my map ?

Only part of the East half of section 28 is within the Lincoln GMU, and Section 29 is entirely within the Fall River GMU. There is a lot of bear damage in that part of 28 that's in the Lincoln unit though. I've seen it myself.

I'm thoroughly confused too,  :chuckle:  I think it's the 28-29 section on the C-7000, still well out of the Lincoln bear unit  :dunno: :bash:

I agree with you StikNString.  It is out of our permit area.

Not according to the map WH provided..  http://wdfw.wa.gov/wlm/game/hunter/blackbear/education/weyco_bear_hunt2010.pdf

It's just as I said. Part of the east 1/2 of section 28 is in the Lincoln unit. The rest of 28 and all of section 29 is in the Fall River unit.

What really confuses me is T 15 N- 5 W , is 7000 line, 7600 line is in T 14 N - 6 W, NEITHER are in our Permit area.
What do they mean by "legal" ?

Short for "legal description."  To write it out completely it would be Section 28 and 29, Township 15 North, Range 5 West, Willamette Meridian.

It looks to me like the entire C7000 line is in 15-5W. The C7600 doesn't appear to be labeled on the map but I assume it's one of the spurs off of the C7000, so it is also in 15-5W.

Weyerhauser Map, 7600 is about halfway up west side of open area, near Doty, in Fall River unit, 7620, is further west
T 14 R 6 W , Section 14

I think whatever 7600 you're looking at is not the "C" 7600. The C7600 has got to be off of the C7000 in 15-5W. But, none of this really matters, as the area they are describing is not in the Lincoln unit anyway.
