My 2nd attempt at bowfishing.....
« on: June 12, 2010, 11:01:39 PM »
was a success!!!!!

We arrived at our normal small mouth spot to find that it had been over run by carp and that the water was 4ft higher than normal and a little cloudy. needless to say the bass werent too cooperative but the carp gave plenty of chances for me especially from the bank. after about what seemed to be a hundred misses i finally nail one but it quickly broke loose, only for me to find that all those misses knocked my tip loose and my barb flipped backwards and pulled out. well i finally started to find my mark and realized i was simply getting to excited by the amount of fish and was simply aiming for ones that were just too deep for me. After that i nailed one on the surface from a distance and nearly fell into the water when it pulled my bow and shook my balance on the rock i was standing on lol. it was a great experience  i put about 4 on the shore and lost about 7. also my arm is a little beat up from poor form while trying to get used to this recurve and getting to excited.
