Harbercraft makes a really nice offshore 25' too.  Aluminum is a lot less maintenance and will last longer than a fiberglass hull.  You can get rot in the wood in a fiberglass hull after years of use.  Have fun with whatever you decide.

I like aluminum too but only in smaller boats in smaller water. I really like the ride and the stability of a well built fiberglas boat. I think you can only get rot in a poorly made and poorly maintained glass hull.

So are they really 85k without motors? Or when they say ready for your choice of outboards does that mean you can pick what you want? Never bought a brand new boat so I'm curious.

Get one with a Yamaha ob instead of the Volvo io!  Also consider an aft cabin helm.

I thought the BAMF, Defiance and Orca all have been built without any wood.  I know atleast Defiance boats has No wood to rot ever!  Not so sure of it being the #1 selling boat in AK though, didn't see one when I was there... They look good for sure, but a bit pricey...

Personally i like a Trophy, by bayliner when it comes to fiberglass. bamf looks like a nice reall nice boat. usually im on the aluminum side with a duckworth, thunder jet, weldcraft, custom weld. all great boats.

Been through the web site of all three, incredible boats, built extremely well...  Just for giggles I called the Defiance dealer, $85K out the door would handle the big stuff with little worries.....  (loaded 25 footer going to a sportman show in Cal)  Designed for one purpose ---chasing monster TUNA for sure.....  Or cruising up to Canada and chase Halibut and Salmon off the coast of BC....  Be a bugger to tow, launch and gas-- but boy it would be a smooth ride for sure...

Yup! all boats are customized to suit the buyer including motors.. not cheap! but they claim to be the best and I believe them. I know enough about boats that I'm almost positive nothing else even compares to what goes into these boats. Call capt.Mike and he'll explain it better than I can.

You're right no wood in the bamf, the hull is criss-crossed with Fiberglas strengtheners to eliminate any wobble.

Agree, have a Trophy, OK boat but there are many many better ones out there, and they have wood in them....

It may be a couple years before I can make it happen! but I figure quality is worth every penny.  Why have all the head aches of a ten year disposable throw away when there is a premium lifetime boat out there that has everything?  Sure it costs more but so do G loomis rods and in the long run it's all good. :)
