Swarovski Habicht SL 10x40???
« on: June 14, 2010, 03:43:46 PM »
Anyone have any information they can give me on these binos?

I looked on Swarovski's web site.. and while the Habicht line is still there.. there is NO information on the SL model.

Are they even making this model anymore?

Anything Swarovski for 400 sounds too good to be true..

My concern is with the model. FOR THE LIFE OF ME.. I can not find them anywhere for sale. Sounds to me like they are a really old model.

Anyone have any info they can pass on.. nothing for the "SL" model on Swarovski's site.

Yes the Habicht 10x40s are older model binos, but Swaro glass doesn't grow old!  If I had that deal sitting in front of me right now, it's be swept up in a sec. :twocents:

My SL's are about 8-10 years old, SW came out with their EL line and are pahasing out the SL's. Make sure you are buying SL's and check the lenses for scratches on the coatings. If there are no scratches and they are bright and clear, stop do not pass go, just buy them, that is cheap. I think those sold for around 900 to 1000 new.

I saw a pair on craigslist today for $400.   They are the old school, porro prism design.
