Dont forget to come check out the wire shoot every Tuesday night in July and August ! It is one hell of a challange and gives you a chance to take shots at 3-d's in realistic hunting situations. If you have never done a wire shoot you definitly need to come and check it out.

Can you give us some more details? Times? # of targets? Cost? How do you score a wire shoot?

starts at5 p.m. on Tuesday nights in July and August.Pretty sure it is 7$ first round then 3$ for additional rounds. 15 targets and not set up like a normal 3-d shoot. Lots of quartering shots some frontal and texas heart shots. Instead of using the scoring rings on the target there is a nail put into the animal with a wire hanging from it to represent an ideal kill shot since most targets arent pefectly broadside. Simple scoring, you have the option to shoot or pass on the target, if you pass you take a zero for that target. If you shoot, you go down to the target spin the wire on the nail and if the wire touches your arrow you score a 10. If it doesnt touch your arrow you score a -10. Dont remember the exact numbers from last year but seemed like only a quarter of the shooters over the 8 weeks actually turned in cards with a positive score. Little different from a regular shoot and lets you decide if it is ethical to take the shot. Here is a little example a broadside elk might have a 4" wire giving you a 8" kill zone where a facing away deer might only have a 1.5" wire giving you only a 3" kill zone. If you have never done a wire shoot ya gotta come check it out and Rangefinders are allowed.

Last year the high score of the night got a free round for the next week and the big winner of the 8 weeks recieved a 1 year membership to the club but I am not positive if the awards will be the same this year.
