Cougar
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:48:55 PM »
So was curious to see how many people actually eat it or merely hunt for the trophy I personally have never killed one but would definitely try eating some. Where as almost everyone I know say they would never try it.
Happy Hunting :)

Dads buddy shot one about 5 years ago near Round mtn,  it stalked up on him and he put one in his neck about 10 yards away. I ate it and it was pretty good, not gamie at all that I remember. I ended up getting drawn (unofficially) for a cougar hunt with dogs today and am looking forward to putting one down.

I shot a very large one 4 or 5 years ago and a freind took the meat. He insisted that I try some so I did. It reminded me of pork with the taste and texture. I had a hard time getting past the idea that it was a cat. This one stalked up on me while deer hunting and I shot it at about thirty feet.

I've been wanting to try it for a few years now. I'll take some meat of somebodies hands if they harvest this year!!
~  ~One of my favorite clothing patterns is camouflage. Because when you're in the woods it makes you blend in. But when you're not it does just the opposite. It's like "hey, there's an *censored*."”

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.
