I got a Palouse B tag. Pretty excited actually. I can knock down the doe right away and then look for a buck. May finally be the year to shoot a deer with ...............................

Well I've practiced plenty but don't usually carry around the .44 because with such a short season I don't want to screw up a shot at a buck. Does on the other hand are all over the place on the farm I hunt. Last time I had a doe tag I just couldn't get close enough to seal the deal with the .44. Maybe this year will be different. The buck still gets the .260 though.

This was going to be my goal as well.  Until I didn't draw a tag, then my bubble burst for the year.
