Aeneas lake fishery in trouble??
« on: February 28, 2008, 10:51:26 PM »
Anyone know of any problems that Lake Aeneas is having?. I went there last spring during a hatch. The lake was mirror flat and there were no fish on the surface in the early evening. It was a friday and there was no one else there so I dont know if Im in the dark on something here. I didnt see any bows scootin along the weedbeds and with bugs crawling all over the surface you'd expect to see a dimple or two of fish rising. I know the lake well and this is just out of the ordinary. Anyone else been there this past season? The wdfw shows that the lake was planted and is still on the planting schedule. I cant seem to find anything concerning the lake this past season on the web. Im starting to plan a flyfishing and turkey hunt trip for this may and any info would help.

Yeah, Me and a couple buddies went out there rippin' lips and caught every fish in the place; turn it into a Feng Shui relaxation spot. 8) Just playin'

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or destroy it, piss on it and walk away!

I did a search on    www.washingtonlakes.com/CountyLakeList.aspx?id=23
Newest report was 2005, so I'm no help to ya. Call some fishing shops and see what they have for information, or if all else fails call/email the state biologist for that area and see what they have to say.
