I didn't draw anything again this year, i think the game dept. really screwed things up for poor schmucks like me that have been waiting 1/10 of a century to draw a tag. This new app. program they have sucks!

man I hear ya loud and clear 8yrs no tags for me.I hate this state{hunting].I didnt put in for montana deer this year I thought with the changes this might finally be my year, boy was I wrong.Ive been getting drawn for Mont. every 2-3yrs.I wouldnt even put in for this state if i did not already have so many points built up.It sucks hearing of people drawing good tags in this state every couple of years  while others like us seem to never draw.It really has me bumfu$%ing out.

Join the club!!!!!  I am going to retire before I even draw a freakin cow tag.  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Wait until you have 14 for everything like me and it will only feel worse. Each year the let down seems to be getting harder.

God.. I hope it doesnt take 14 years or more.. I've been waiting 7 years and I still havent been drawn for anything.. Not even a damn cow tag.. I could only imagine what you folks are going through.. They should really consider a new drawing system..

I waited 9 years, but now I put in on party hunts and we drew bull permits, cow permits, buck permits and 2nd deer tags all this year.  The biggest problem is all the seasons overlap, so I have some choices to make.  I am not a fan of the system for this reason, but I guess having to many permits is a good problem right now.

After 9 years of this BS, I dont know what to think. Over and over again it reassures me that this state only wants your money! I know people that draw a buck or bull tags year after year, how is this possible. I just dont understand how this is fair?

I've got 11 points for the OIL's and Elk's, and 6 for the deer aside from 2nd deer which I drew this year.  I still like the draw system, I like to know that when I drop back down to 0 points I'll still have a chance.  :twocents:

I am glad I did put in for MT.  At least I have something to look forward to... mule deer and (maybe) speedgoats....

Nothing more for me to add.  I still have never drawn a tag in this state for ANYTHING.  Not even a lousy cow tag.  At least I drew Montana deer.  My buddy drew Peaches Ridge bull so at least one of us got something.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Let me guess. One of the 500 guys with ten points that put in for the desert with the remaining 8000 people?
I really don't think points matter anymore for any guarantee. I think they give you an edge and more hope but bottom line is WA state is packed with people and hunters making odds slim no matter what. I think luck is a huge roll. I was lucky pulling Entiat modern with 8 points. I look at the odds and still I am amazed I drew it even with that many points. I'm topped out on the oil points or maybe one behind, I know what you mean though, I get my hopes up every year for one of them but statistically, with the remaining numbers of guys with max points, I still have better chances at Lotto. By the way, this is the first tag Ive drawn in 8 years for any species in this state.

I agree with MuleySniper, just too many people in this state!  Not sure how much a different draw system would help....won't reduce the number of people applying.
