Just set up my first wall tent with the little one
« on: June 17, 2010, 02:55:57 PM »
Bought an old used wall tent that needed a little TLC from BC CHASER.
Got it set up and i think its going to be a good little addition to our new 16x20 that we are gonna order soon.  Its not very big so we might use it just for storage or for an extra sleeping tent.
Working on a few small holes and getting it all cleaned up.  Little bit of mold and some smell but other than that it was a great buy for the price.   I mean for 60$ you cant beat it.  The frame alone is worth more than that.
Thanks BC
Starting to get the itch already.  :hunter:

Man, those short sidewalls sure take away space inside. What is the peak height of that tent? Should work great for storage and extra sleeping space for a guy or two. You are going to love camping in canvas.... it is the only way to go! :rockin:

yeah its a really rare shorty 2foot side walls.
we are gonna try a few things to raise the walls up and extend the canvas down.
i can stand up all the way in the center and im 6 4.
its not really anything i would cook in or do a whole lot in, but like i said its my first wall tent and you gotta start somewhere.

cant wait to get the new 16x20x5 from the wall tent shop.

I love the smell of canvas in the morning.  :chuckle: I don't know the cost, but I know you can have some length added to the walls.
