COUGAR
« on: June 20, 2010, 04:55:51 PM »
Here is a cougar I caught on my game camera up on my family's property. They own around 1200 acres in the Willapa Hills. This was in a 20 year old stand. Really thick brush with a lot of bear sign.

This camera was the Moultrie Game Spy 4.0 MP with IR Flash. It is obvious the trigger speed wasn't too slow because of the speed of which the cat is walking. I would say it triggered within 1.5-2 seconds. The camera is aimed at about the center of the tail of the cat when the video first starts.

Sweet! Is this some of your property that almost butts up next to ours? Either way.... Definitely going to be packing my pistol from now on when back on the property!

Hope you shoot that deer eater this season. That's pretty cool.

Cool video.  I was at Willapa a week ago to pick up some fresh oysters while on vacation in Long Beach last week.  We stayed at a rental house right on the beach and was lucky to catch a peak at three bucks sneaking through the tall grass not a hundred yards from the house early one morning.  One was an absolute dandy 4pt.  Beach Bucks.  Wish I had pics.
There ain't much that won't fit in my fryin' pan!
