My last reply did sound mean, it wasn't meant to be. Sorry.
Last night when I read this post I was just thinking, PA BEN, you can read everything on the web but it wont do any good if you don't just get out and shoot. By shooting and playing with the scope you'll learn a lot more then reading on the web.
Knowing what parallax is will shorten the learning curve so you have that in your corner.

Went out yesterday and at 100yds at 10 power I adjusted the parallax until the cross hairs stopped moving, then zoomed up to 24 power, cross hairs still didn't move, marked my scope for that setting for 100 yds. I can shoot up to 10 power at this setting at an yardage I want. I need to find a longer area to adjust the parallax at longer ranges at higher power.

PA BEN,  I have that exact scope siting ontop of an older ruger like that.....chambered in 220 swift.  I have had that set-up for 20+ years and have never had a problem with it........I think they are a great scope.   :tup:

Thanks I love it. It makes a nice spotting scope at 24 power. I used it for my moose hunt to spot moose 4 miles away. 10 power is all I need to kill all the animals I want. ;) I don't know if I posted this or not but I picked it up for 75 bucks at a gun swap, new in the box. ;)
