Most of the two units are USFS land, so public land. Get a map and start driving/hiking, a lot of elk in the area.

Lots of public land and lots of elk.  They are usually still bugling and the herd bulls are still pushing cows around during this hunt.  I hunted it last year for spike only and had the entire area i hunt to myself and saw 30+ elk in a short period of time with one large bull. Some of the larger expanses of land are gated but it's worth the hike, horseback or motorcycle ride in, just stay on the trails cause you aren't allowed to ride behind the gates on the roads.
