I think they are mostly hitting roe.  (assuming you are after kings below Roza)

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN USE BAIT ABOVE THE DAM.  I THINK ITS ONLY FLYFISHING THERE,  ALSO ITS CATCH AND RELEASSE ONLY

No bait above the dam, catch and release.  I'm pretty sure you can use lures but they have to be single hook and barbless.  Double check the regs on the lures though, wouldn't want you to get fined.  Have fun!

Make sure you are spot on with the regs, (not that you shouldn't always be), but there is a game warden about every 15 minutes in the canyon.  You will be cited.  NO BAIT.

:chuckle: You would probably catch a lot of fish above rosa with bait.

While you're at it, I think that you can keep everything in the Yakima, too.  Just hog 'em with the worms and get a whole stringer full of them.  You'll be fine.  Maybe take a couple of pictures of your stringer full of fish and see if they won't post them up for you at the local store.

Obviously I'm joking, but do make sure to read the regs.

i ended up just floating and didnt do anyfishing. they were jumping like crazy though! we were running late trying to get things packed up and i didnt get time to read up on the regs. so i decided to just leave the pole. still had a great time though! seen a few mulies and quite a few big horn sheep.
