Killer deals at Wholesale Sports
« on: June 25, 2010, 04:52:06 PM »
Wholesale sports (formerly sportsman's warehouse) is having a 2-day clearance even. I just picked up two Limbsaver SpeedZone bows, brand spanking new, for $200 each. Not bad considering they're $800 retail.

I wasn't really in the market for a new bow...but couldn't turn down 353fps for $200. The old man will be in for a nice suprise as well!

All their clearance archery/hunting products are an additional 30% off as well.
I left it better than I found it...did you?

Deals on anything other than archery? firearms as well?

I'll have to head there tomorrow and check it out. I'm back to being a Sportco fan after Sportsmans Warehouse changed hands.

I heard a lot of their boots are 50% off. Danner Pronghorns is one I know of specifically. ($75)

Well apparently that was Saturday only.  :bash:

I went to the Lacey store today around 10:30 and it was an F'n joke. They didn't have much in stock, but I found a pair of Danners that were a half size smaller than normal, but they fit and were "half off".

All of the boots were stacked and they had 50% off on them. While my son and I were trying them on two girls (employees) were working the area within a couple feet of me. I was a bit miffed that they didn't greet us, but oh well. Apparently they were taking off the 50% stickers and didn't say a word to us.

I found the said pair of boots and went to the youth shoes. Didn't find anything and proceeded to checkout.

When the boots were rang up they came up at $111.00. The cashier said that can't be right. Double checked and it rang up the same. She called over one of the girls working the boots and she said, "that is the correct price". The cashier asked about the 50% off and the girl says "that was an additional percentage off for Saturday only and we just took off the stickers. The boots are what they ring up at".

I was pissed and told them that was crap. I said "Two of you were working only two feet away from us and you didn't say anything".

She says, "well I am sorry".

I said, "take your boots, I don't want them and will spend my money at Cabela's".

And I spend four times that amount at Cabela's and I hate going there. But it looks like I will be spending more there and less at the Lacey Wholesale store.

No.  They are not going out of business.  Just clearing out old stock, so we can get ready for the new stuff.
Hunt hard and shoot straight!
