Peaches Ridge Info Please!!!!
« on: June 26, 2010, 04:45:28 PM »
Good afternoon, we just got news that my dad has been drawn for the peaches ridge M/L Oct 1-10 GMU 336 and 346 quality elk tag. We have never been to the area and would greatly appreciate any info we can get. From the sounds of it, this is a gem of a hunt so we hope to make the best out of it.

Thank you very much,
Steve

welcome to the site.

You might want to hit up our Introductions thread. Tell us a little about yourself...maybe share a hutning story or 2.
It's real tough when a guy comes on here out of nowhere and asks for info and help on a special hunt they drew and have not even been in the unit before. I hope you don't get a bunch of crap for it.

There's a ton of great info available to you here, a search function that will likely tell you everything you need to know and a lot of good people, but most are not too free to throw out handouts.

Good luck on your hunt. I don't know the unit.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Well i have tons of maps and have read the "few thousand" posts on peaches ridge, but everybody sends private messages so theres nothing to gain (which i dont blame, i wouldnt want people reading about my "hot spots." The only reason I am on here asking for help, is because this place is a draw only area. Unless someone is fortunate enough to draw often, most people only hunt this area once or twice in their lifetime. So if someone does decide to share info, i can pretty much guarantee that you will never see me in there again. I understand that I am the new and might be stepping on toes by asking...but this is great opportunity and i'd rather ask and get hasseled than not ask and not have any luck.

I just got back from Peaches Ridge this afternoon. It's a Target-Rich-Environment.

All I can say is, take your maps and spend some time learning the area.

Thank you very much for the positive response... we plan on heading over every weekend after the 4th. My parents are setting up a trailor on some friend's property near cle elum so that we can spend as much time there as possibe. Good luck and maybe we'll run into each other in the sticks.
