Central Washington Bear hunting

Haven't had any chance to get out to do any bear scouting yet due to that thing called Work :'( Anyone seeing Good numbers of bears out there??

Welcome hunterheinz, I hunt bears up in the NW corner of WA but I sure like your first two posts, a couple of nice critters. It's a breath of fresh air from the people coming on here looking for a honey hole with their first post.

Not looking for a honey hole. Shot 8th biggest bear in wash. state scoring 21 2/16th. and have have shot many more, just trying to bs about hunting-my passion.

This was my biggest one. I shot this one back in 2000 in the clockum unit. I was Using a Winchester Model 670 in 30-06 180 gr. at 340 yds. He scored 21 2/16 and weighed approx. 450 lbs and this was early in Season. Sorry for the poor picture. That is a 5' foot tape. He was 7'2" from nose to base of tail. We spotted him in the bottom of a creek bed chasing away another boar. Good berries in bottom didn't want to share i guess.lol

If I were you, I'd use a .300 winchester Weatherby Vangaurd this year!
