Price for a re-string

My bow is in need of a new string and last time I was at cabelas they said it would be around $100. Is this a pretty standard price or can I get it done cheaper at a shop?  Anyone have any suggestions for shops around Spokane?

depends on the bow also how and the cost of the string put the specs up and i am sure someone who does a lot of restringing like xxx will give you a good guess

Its a parker hunter mag....about 6 or 7 years old now.  Not sure what specs are needed I know how to shoot and sight a bow in other than that I dont know much.  I wanna say the draw is 30in and the weight is around 70.  The string is still intact now not broke or anything but is in need of a tune up

If you want good quality strings you will pay the $100.  I personally like Winner's Choice, but there are other good strings available.  You can get it done cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

I think it will just depend on which strings you get...Winner's Choice are some of the best out there, and they are around $100 for the strings, plus the cost of labor. Stone Mountain Strings are also a good string, for a cheaper price. The shop in Lewiston charges around $40 labor but that includes a tune-up and checking the cams and axles, plus the cost for the strings. Also depends on if you are getting just a string, or buss cables also....

I just had my Switchback re-strung with Winners Choice strings. I had the crew at Federal Way Wholesale Sports order and install the strings. It cost just over  $100 with shipping. The strings were ordered/shipped and installed on my bow within 6 days and that was with a custom color. Thanks to Old Dog and pass it on to Ryan and Dennis as both of those guys both were great to work with. The whole job went off without a hitch and my bow is shooting better now.  Great service, communication and quality of work.

Anyone in the greater Puget Sound area that is leary of taking their bow to a "big box store" to have it worked on, like I was, don't hesitate to take it to these guys. Considering how few good bowshops we have here in Pugettropolis I think we're lucky that the management at WS FedWay has invested in a great archery dept.

100.00 to get a restring is a good deal, like said the bow is 6-7 years old that is about 15.00 a year over the time period. I use winners choice, no stretch on them. John at Lucky Shot does a great job.

and remeber, when you take your bow into be restrung by a pro, hes not pocketing every penny. After the 30% of that goes to taxes, 50% to cost, the 20% left over dosent pay alot of bills...100 for a quality string and a checkup and some tech advice is a good price.....I like VanWinkles in Everett out of the 4 places in the area Ive been....

I recently took my daughter's Trykon Jr in for new strings and cables in Winner's Choice Purple and Mountainberry (on a camo bow).  I'll add to the kudos for Larry and his crew at Wholesale Sports in Federal Way.  I was very impressed with how Ryan set up my daughter's bow and the time he took with her to get her sighted in again.
