Non-res SE Idaho bull elk tag
« on: June 27, 2010, 05:18:29 PM »
Friend of mine just got pulled for a bull elk tag in the SE corner of Idaho (against WY border).  Hear some nice animals come out of there.

If its 66a1 that's a good tag.  If its the early season tag in 66a1 its a great tag.

Think it's 76, not 66a-1

66a1 is two units combined. Unit 66a and unit 76.

What is early season?

The early season goes from oct. 1-14.  And the late season is oct 15-24.  Early season gives out 35 tags.  Late season gives out 300 tags.  Early is better than late obviously.

I deer hunted there a few years back and ended up helping a couple local guys find some nice bulls. I think it was over by Montpelier.   Bear
