New Monster 7.0
« on: March 12, 2010, 09:30:26 PM »
Well I finally pulled the trigger on getting a new bow. (It's only taken a whole year) I have been shooting my buddies PSE for the last couple of months making sure bow hunting is something I want to get into. Well after a couple days I was hooked. I had my mind made up to get a Hoyt but after shooting with the Monster I had to have it. It's a little heavier and not as smooth but it shoots!! Can't thank Andy enough down at the Sports Emporium in Seattle, he's a classy guy.

Black Gold sights (5-pin)
Mathews drop away rest
Scott release
Easton ST Axis 400's with 2' Blazers
100 grn tips.

Estimate: 289 fps, 392 grain arrow, 12.6% FOC, 73 ft-lbs KE, 20-50 drop: 27.2", KE @ 50: 62.6 ft-lbs.
(Thanks to Todd_ID)

Need to work out a few little kinks but cant wipe the smile off my face!

Nice!  What draw length and weight?

Sounds like ya shot a brick(Yes, I know what that sounds like)Ha ha.

Does it sound anything like blowing through your target and leaving a hole in your house? :bash:

I need to try that grip out, have heard great things about it.

Congrats on the bow.  I tried it out twice, but it wasn't the fit for me.  It was a nice bow though.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Pretty confident shooting your new bow towards the house. Ouch.  Gald you like it. I went for the Z7 as I was looking for "forgiving". Enjoy.   Mike
