Well, give it a try and let me know how it works for you.  The only thing I can help you with is that he held it at an angle to his mouth and called like a cub into the cup which would simply amplify it.

good morning there today.had a beautiful black shiny bear walk in front of us..jet black almost blue...

Was it the one you have had your eye on? The taxidermist for Butch's bear said that when they are that black they reflect the sky that's why they seem to have a blue tint. Pretty cool.

no,this was only 150 or so,still a nice one though what a hide..he had all the deer and elk out on the road ahead of him..looking for fawns Im sure

spied me a bobbie yesterday,and three small bucks..new girdles are really showing up now..the bear sign Im finding shows that they are really working deer feeding areas..the fawns are moving better now thats a plus for them

It is great to hear your able to get back into your play ground again. I have only been seeing doe's and one spike so far. Very few fawns or big bucks thus far. One pile left behind by smokey next to a trashed log full of carpenter ants. I think the bear may be baiting for ants with its berry milk.
