Looks really good.  Overkill for scooters.  They will decoy into black jugs.  We painted a bunch of milk jugs, the paint flaked off.  So i thined the paint a little poured some inside and shook it good until the entire inside was coated and threw those out on a long line.  The birds would come in.
Are those store bought heads?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

How long did it take to mold up.  I purchased one of the metal molds, but the wife doesn't like me cooking the molds in the house.  I took some block styrafoam and cut some bodies and burlaped them, but I didn't like how they turned out.
The ticket is to make some good long tail decoys as those seem to skirt the decoys unless you have decoys for them.
Cut em!

Nice looking scoter! Can you make me some harlies like that? :chuckle: It is true that the ol' painted milk jug works, but with effort like that, gunning sea ducks will be more rewarding!

Have 3 old squaws mounted but no scoters yet.  My brother in law was 15 and had his mounted for him it was his first duck.  My buddy from Iowa had a mount with 1 harli drake, 1 squaw drake, and all 3 species of drake scoters done on one mount Ill post pics of that one if I can get one.
