I like both.  The rocks are a little sweeter.  Dungis definitely easier to clean.  My wife and I cleaned 20 dungeness and 5 rocks last week.  When we got down to the small knuckles of the reds we cleaned about half of them and then gave up.  We had over 10 lbs of crab meat at that point.  Huge dungis.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

The "Rock" is a little bit sweeter with most of the meat in the claws  The dungeness are just a great all around eating crab
:yeah:

Love Reds Claws!  Still love Dungi and King, but Snow Crab (Opilio) is also great.

I can't stand Blueshell on the east coast. Oily bland muck for meat.

I like both equally, but I won't keep rock under 6" as they just primarily have the pincer meat. You are more likely to get rocks where I crab, so it's an acquired taste. :chuckle:

I prefer Dungee over Red, Red shells are just too much work sometimes.  Ill eat both, but if I get some good dungees in a pull ill throw back the reds.  So far this year I have limited out on Reds everyday, Dungees on the other hand seen probably 4-5 total all year.....Ill see what today's pull brings in.

My favorite kind!

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have a buddy that has property on the sound.  When I get invited I get oysters, butter clams and crab.  I would love to have that property.

I've eaten so much crab in the last two days that I am sick of it!
