Some guys use ff in their rifles but I think its a hotter load more powder in a 100 grs then with fff
but I've been wrong before.

It's the other way around. FFF is a faster powder than FF, meaning it burns faster, due to the smaller granule size. Generally for 50 caliber and larger they recommend FF, and for under 50 caliber FFF. But I've used both in my 50 and 54 caliber muzzleloaders. With FFF you just use a little less.

FFG is what you want to use for your rifle for sure!  I love this stuff, my grouping actually got smaller and its much easier to clean.  Don't try the Jim Shockey stuff, it sucks.  I had issues with it lighting off and it seamed like only 60% of the powder was actually burning.  My velocity dropped by 470fps and my grouping dropped off paper at 100 yds.   :bash:

It did however burn very well in the camp fire!

I went to FFG 777 and love it. I use 130 grs loose powder w/295 gr bullets groups very will. ;) I left my gun loaded for a year and shot a bulls eye w/that shot. ;)
