Have you checked craigslist.org?  There's usually a bunch for sale on there.  Pheasants too.  You might not want to mention the dog training part though with some of the sellers  ;)

search dog training and there is a guy in Monroe, one in Enumclaw and one in Gig Harbor who always seem to have birds of some sort for sale. I've bought birds from people who have them listed. I always feel guilty making up some story about why I'm buying them.....

one time I bought some pheasant from a girl telling her i wanted them just for fun. She told me about how she raised them from chicks, loved and cared for them....

Felt guilty about it so, I always send an email, Do you have pigeons available for dog training. most reply politely that they appreciate my honesty and would rather they not be used for that....

Anyways- I'll be putting in an order for about 30-50 early Oct. depending on what the guy has. Secret source- can't let it out. Birds are a little tough to find.

Shannon- you've been quiet this year....no trapping or, just selling all to Brooky?

The trapping has been way down this year. I bet I have caught 10% of what I did last year. I didn't sell a single bird this year. I used a lot because I was getting ready for a NAVHDA Utility test also. All the birds used paid off though. She got a Prize I 204 and got invited to the Invitational. I probably will have to buy pigeons next year at the rate I am going. I bought a thousand dollars of ducks and chukar this year getting ready. Oh well. Its only money :)
Where did you buy chukars in Stanwood?

I got chukars from a guy in stanwood too today and they are good looking birds.  His flight pens are big and he has a good set up.
PM me and ill give you his phone number, he said it was ok to give out his phone number to people who were looking for birds.
