S & W .357 mag rear sight
« on: July 07, 2010, 10:24:09 PM »
I just picked up an older S & W 357 mag model 586 pretty dang cheap.  Problem is someone put a Burris scope base on it and took off the rear sight assembly.  I don't want to shoot it with a scope and would like to know if anyone has a rear sight assembly for this or know what if any aftermarket parts could work. I would be willing to trade the scope base or if someone wants it let me know and you can pick it up or for a couple bucks I can ship it....contingent if I find a rear sight I can put on it.

thanks!

that is the website smith & wesson directed me to cuz they didn't have the part in stock I was looking for, but that company was also out of stock.  Midway had it and the part is supposed to be here on Monday.  I don't know what all the scope mount will fit for the 586 but if anyone wants it they can have it.  What it currently was on is an older S &W model 586 6 " bbl and I believe it is an "L" frame revolver with a straight tang.  The scope mount says Burris on it and it mounts to the top of the frame without the rear sight assembly in place.  Let me know if you want it and you can either pick it up or for a couple bucks I can ship it.

thanks !
