I bought my Mathews there and was really impressed with they guy that helped me pick out the bow spent 3 hours helping me (can't remember his name short guy) then went back the next night to pay and pick it up and dealt with someone else and the guy was a total ass. That was 3 years ago never been back.

Rainier Archery is a top 100 Mathews dealer every year. You guy's should think a little bit before you flame a local guy who has been doing business in this area for 20 plus years. Way before Rainier Archery. 10 guy's crying on here does not a bad business make. The reason you don't see anything bad online about him is because there isn't any need for it.

I have bought two bows for myself in the past 10 years and one for my wife.  Never had an issue getting what I needed.  Sometimes he is busy but once they get to you you have their attention until you are done.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I won't be back and from reading this thread for the first time I don't think most will go to him. He may sell a lot of bows but his attitude sucks, I went their twice to look and I'm not sure what his name was but I got the impression he was a boss and he was a popes ass.  I wouldn't care if he sold the most bows in the world at the best prices, I would pay 100 more to some where else. Not worth my time.

I bought a Drenalin  5 years ago and had a terrible experience, I also will never go back.  When I came to pick up my bow ( supposedly ready & paper tuned )  my center shot was so far in towards the handle that the arrow was pointed comically towards the handle at about 20 degrees. To compensate for this my top wheel was canted to the left at least 30 degrees at full draw & I still to this day do not know how the cable / string stayed on the bow.  I pointed out the faults & was told to come back, that bow never did shoot right ever. I also was not treated very well on any of my follow up visits. The shop was not overly busy on any visit because my purchase was in the off season. I found them very arrogant & concern for customer service to be very low. As stated above I would never go there again, I sold that bow & bought a Mathews from another dealer and could not be happier with bow and shop.  Maybe if your a buddy you get taken care of, I had a good attitude & was open minded but very unsatisfied.  Mike

I see a ton of bad on here.  I went in for 3 mins maybe.  Asked one question got a smart *** response and left never to return.  There to many shops with people that care and will take there time and explain the right way to do it.  These guys don't know the right way that's why they are rude when you ask anything there mad they don't have a clue.  Things cost way to much to put up with poor quality service.  Stay away from here!

Sportco in fife has just became a dealer of Matthews. Previously they weren't allowed to due to being to close to Rainier. Matthews changed there mind due to customer service complaints about Rainier. Andy from outdoor emporium has been spending a fair amount of time at sportco and it looks like sportcos archery department is taking a turn for the better.

Every time I go to sportco there is no one in there bow dept. I guess its hard to complain about there customer service when there is no one there to answer your questions.

I bought my first bow from Rainier.  They were...okay.  I will elaborate if anybody wants, but I probably wouldn't go back there again.  I am shopping for a new bow this year and have been to or called around to a few shops.  Went to Sportco and the guy there didn't know the difference between between right and left handed bows, let alone answering any of my questions on the $1000 bowtechs!  I asked to speak with somebody about ordering and I was told to call back the next day!  Nock Point and Lucky Shot are both GREAT bow shops and are very helpful.  They were both even really polite and helpful to my girlfriend when she called with some questions.  Customer service goes a long way when you are looking to drop over a grand on new equipment.

I finally decided on a Hoyt, and I will be purchasing it from Nock Point as soon as I have the cash flow!

I bought my helim from them this year, and had great customer service from a shop guy the first time, then when I came in to pick it up, accessorize it, and stuff Joe (the owner) was the one who helped me, personally set up my bow, ect. He was nothing but nice, and took the time to answer my questions and make recommendations. I was very happy when I left.

I then needed to get my peep adjusted, and while they were busy, I never was treated rudely. They adjusted my peep and sent me on my way. I can't relate to any of these horror stories.

For what it is worth.....I have purchased two bows and many many bow related items at Rainier Archery.  The folks there have been nothing but helpful with my needs and archery related problems.  They are often times busy and with only owner available to help, help can come slow.  I realize that some folks havent had the same experience but I darn sure would go there before I would every set foot in some BIG BOX STORES like Cabelas, Sportco or Outdoor Emporium for assistance from a guy who is only working there because the economy drove him out of his 20 year job as a machinist, or Retail Store Manager and he landed in the hunting department to feed his family.   I have rarely found any quality information or help from these stores (not to say it cant happen).   JOE, LEE GLEN and JIM are top notch...   regular guys that care/know about archery and hunting.

I am not too surprised they are a top 100 dealer. I have been in once... only once.

Guy behind the counter was all about helping me until he found out I shoot stick and string... not pulleys and aluminum. Then, ... well... I don't need to be treated like that by anyone.

That is one door I will never darken again.
